$$E = {1 \over {4\pi {\varepsilon _0}}}\,.\,{Q \over {{x^2}}}$$ ..... (i)
where, $$Q = s\,.\,A$$
$$=s 	imes 4 \pi R^2$$
$$	herefore$$ From Eq. (i), we get
$$E  =\frac{1}{4 \pi \varepsilon_0} \cdot \frac{s 	imes 4 \pi R^2}{x^2}=\frac{s R^2}{\varepsilon_0 x^2}$$
$$	herefore  E  \propto \frac{1}{x^2}$$
