A transformer with turns ratio $$\frac{N_1}{N_2}=\frac{50}{1}$$ is connected to a $$120 \mathrm{~V}$$ AC supply. If primary and secondary circuit resistances are $$1.5 \mathrm{~k} \Omega$$ and $$1 \Omega$$ respectively, then find out power of output.

$$	ext { Given, turn ratio of a transformer, } \frac{N_1}{N_2}=\frac{50}{1}$$
$$\Rightarrow \quad N_1=50 N_2$$
$$	ext { Since, } \quad \frac{N_1}{N_2}=\frac{V_1}{V_2}$$

& 50=\frac{120}{V_2} \quad\left[V_1=120 \mathrm{~V} 	ext { (given) }ight] \
\Rightarrow & V_2=\frac{12}{5} \mathrm{~V}
\end{array}$$
Output power at secondary coil,

& P_s=\frac{V_2^2}{R_2} \quad \quad \quad\left[R_2=1 \Omega 	ext { (given) }ight] \
& =\frac{\left(\frac{12}{5}ight)^2}{1}=\frac{144}{25}=5.76 \mathrm{~W}
