$R_1$ and $R_2$ will be in parallel.
$	herefore$ The equivalent resistance of the circuit is: $\mathrm{R}=\frac{\mathrm{R}_1 \mathrm{R}_2}{\mathrm{R}_1+\mathrm{R}_2}=\frac{25 	imes 50}{25+50}=16.66 \Omega \mathrm{R} \approx 17 \Omega$
