$$ 	herefore $$ $${{12} \over 6} = {x \over {72 - x}}$$
$$ \Rightarrow $$ 14 $$-$$ 2x = x
$$ \Rightarrow $$ 3x = 144
$$ \Rightarrow $$ x = 48 cm
